At Simmer, we're on a mission to make healthy eating effortless.
We create chef-made, high-protein meals inspired by flavours from around the world, making it easier for busy people to eat well every day.
What started with £10 worth of ingredients and a handful of family recipes has grown into one of the UK's fastest-growing businesses.
In both 2025 and 2026, Simmer was recognised by The Sunday Times as the UK's 5th fastest-growing company.
We're proud of that, but we're much more focused on what comes next.
We're a profitable, founder-led business building in a category we think can become much bigger.
We've grown quickly through product quality, performance marketing and a deep understanding of our customers.
Now we're entering the next phase.
We're still a deliberately lean team, which means people here get close to the work, the customers and the decisions that shape the business.
Good ideas can come from anywhere, and the people who join us have the chance to make a real impact.
We're ambitious, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. There's still a huge amount to build, and we think we're only at the beginning.
The Role
We're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager with solid foundations in paid social who wants significantly more ownership, exposure and responsibility.
You'll own paid social performance across Meta, Tik Tok and Reddit, working closely with our Growth Lead to make daily decisions around spend, performance, testing and creative.
You'll work directly with our Growth Lead and take day-to-day ownership of paid acquisition across Meta, with exposure to Tik Tok, Reddit and emerging channels.
You'll be inside the account every day -analysing performance, optimising campaigns, managing budgets, launching tests and deciding what we should do next.
But we don't want to develop you into just a better media buyer.
You'll work closely with Creative to understand why ads win or lose, turning performance insight into better hooks, messages, concepts and creative briefs.
If you're 18mth–3 years into performance marketing and want a much steeper learning curve, this is the opportunity.
- What you’ll do
- Own Meta day to day
- monitoring performance, optimising campaigns, managing budgets and launching tests.
- Understand what's driving CPA and growth
- go beyond reporting numbers to diagnose why performance is changing.
- Turn data into creative insight
- identify winning hooks, messages, formats and audiences and feed those learnings directly into Creative.
- Build and run tests
-develop hypotheses, launch experiments, analyse the results and decide what happens next.
Support Tik Tok, Reddit and emerging channels as we identify new opportunities.
- Improve how we work
- from reporting and testing frameworks to the feedback loop between Growth and Creative.
- Develop beyond media buying
- over time, build much deeper capability in creative strategy, customer insight and commercial growth.
- What we’re looking for
You’ll probably have 2–3 years of hands-on paid social experience, either in-house or agency-side.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who
- Knows their way around Meta Ads Manager and has personally optimised campaigns rather than simply reporting on them.
- Understands metrics like CPA, ROAS, CPM, CTR and conversion rate and how they interact.
- Is analytical but also commercially minded - you're interested in why customers behave the way they do.
- Has opinions about creative and wants to get better at understanding why ads win or lose.
- Likes getting into the detail and making decisions.
- Learns quickly and actively seeks feedback.
- Takes ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
- What you’ll get from us
You’ll be joining at a stage where there's a huge amount to learn and an equally big opportunity to make an impact.
We believe talented people develop fastest when they're given real responsibility, high standards, direct feedback and great people to learn from.
You won't be expected to arrive knowing everything.
What matters more is your trajectory: how quickly you learn, how well you turn feedback into better judgement and how much responsibility you're capable of taking on as you develop.
If you're a couple of years into performance marketing and feel ready for a much steeper learning curve, we'd love to hear from you.
