We\βre looking for a
Lifecycle & CRM Lead
who can take full ownership of customer retention, reactivation, and high-value behaviour across one of the UK\βs fastest-growing DTC subscriber bases.
The Role
This is the engine room of Simmer\βs LTV and retention, a highly hands-on, commercially impactful role where you turn:
- Leads β Subscribers
- Cancelled Customers β Active Again
- Active Customers β Loyal Advocates
You\βll work directly with the Founder and collaborate closely with the Growth team, Chief of Staff, Creative, and Partnerships teams. This role mixes deep execution (building flows, writing copy, analysing behaviour) with clear strategic thinking about how to lift retention and customer value.

What You\βll Own
1. Convert Leads β Subscribers & Reactivate Cancelled Customers
Lead Conversion
- Own the full pre-purchase lifecycle: welcome sequences, nurture emails, SMS, abandoned checkout comms.
- Move leads through the funnel with the right message at the right time.
- Build structured testing across incentives, timing, segmentation and creative.
Reactivation (Cancelled β Active)
- Build and continuously optimise win-back journeys across SMS, email, direct mail and inserts.
- Understand why customers churn and create interventions that pull them back.
- Deliver consistent monthly reactivation revenue with measurable uplift.
2. Drive High-Value Customer Behaviour (Referral, Rewards & Ongoing Comms)
Referral
- Own Simmer\βs referral engine end-to-end: incentives, triggers, creative, flows and reporting.
- Embed referral moments across onboarding, loyalty milestones and product drops.
- Test structures to increase referral rate per 1,000 active customers.
Rewards & Habit-Building
- Work closely with the Growth & Product on rewards strategy, messaging and loyalty moments.
- Create comms that reinforce behaviour: streaks, milestones, surprise perks, reward unlocks.
- Turn subscribers into habitual weekly users.
Customer Comms (Email, SMS, Direct Mail, Inserts)
- Own all lifecycle comms for active customers, menu drops, seasonal pushes, habit-building campaigns.
- Expand beyond digital: create impactful DM and in-box moments that reduce churn.
- Increase box frequency and engagement through consistent, meaningful touchpoints.
4. Data, Insights & Experimentation
- Own lifecycle reporting fully β retention, LTV, churn, referral, reactivation.
- Build and run a rigorous testing roadmap across segmentation, messaging, incentives and channels.
- Respond quickly to behavioural signals with fast iteration and improvements.

- Lead β subscriber conversion consistently improving
- Cancelled β active reactivation rate increasing monthly
- Higher Week 4 / Week 8 / Week 12 retention
- Referral rate per active customer significantly improved
- Better engagement across email/SMS/direct mail
- Clear uplift in LTV and reduction in churn
- Partnerships delivering measurable incremental value
What You Bring
- 4β8 years proven track record in CRM, lifecycle, retention or growth roles within a DTC or Subscription business
- Hands-on operator with strategic instincts, you build, write, analyse and optimise yourself.
- Experience improving conversion, retention and reactivation in a DTC or subscription brand.
- Strong grasp of behavioural triggers and customer psychology.
- Skilled in CRM platforms (Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, etc.).
- Excellent writer with a commercial mindset.
- Comfortable owning revenue-driving targets, not just channel metrics.
- Enjoy collaborating cross-functionally, especially with Marketing and Creative.
