About Us
At Simmer, we're on a mission to make healthy eating effortless. What started with £10 worth of ingredients and a handful of family recipes has grown into one of the UK's fastest-growing businesses. We've been recognised by The Sunday Times as the UK's 5th fastest-growing company for two consecutive years, but we're only just getting started.
We're looking for an exceptionally bright, ambitious and commercially curious person to join our Growth team. This isn't a traditional marketing or CRM role. It's an opportunity to work on some of the highest-impact commercial projects in the business, helping us understand customer behaviour, improve retention and drive growth. You'll work closely with experienced commercial leaders, take ownership from day one and have a genuine impact on how the business grows.
What you'll do
- As a Growth & Retention Associate, you'll work across a wide variety of commercial projects, including:
- Analysing customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
- Supporting experiments to improve customer retention and lifetime value.
- Helping launch new customer initiatives and commercial campaigns.
- Improving customer journeys across email, SMS, subscriptions and our website.
- Using data to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Working closely with Product, Ecommerce, Data, Creative and Growth teams.
- Taking ownership of projects from idea through to execution.
No two weeks will look the same.
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves solving difficult problems.
- Is naturally curious and commercially minded.
- Learns quickly and enjoys taking on new challenges.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.
- Wants responsibility early in their career.
- Is happy getting into the detail whilst keeping sight of the bigger picture.
- Thrives in an environment where things move quickly and priorities change.
Must-haves:
- A strong academic record (or other clear evidence of exceptional intellectual ability).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Evidence of taking ownership early in your career - for example leading a project, delivering measurable results, running a university society, or building a side project.
- A genuine interest in ecommerce, consumer businesses or high-growth startups.
- A proactive mindset - you spot problems and take ownership of solving them.
- Happy working from our London office five days per week.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in a startup, scale-up or other fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (SQL is a bonus).
- Experience analysing customer behaviour or running experiments.
- Built something outside of work or university, such as a business, app, newsletter, event or community.
- Awards, scholarships, promotions or other evidence of high achievement.
Why Simmer?
You'll join a business that's scaling incredibly quickly, where you'll be trusted with meaningful responsibility from day one. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn fast, solve challenging commercial problems and build a career in growth. If you're looking for a highly structured corporate graduate scheme, this probably isn't the role for you. If you're excited by ownership, pace and the opportunity to help build one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer brands, we'd love to hear from you.
