We are looking for an Assistant Cook to work alongside our Nursery Chef in providing nutritious, wholesome meals for our children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and cooking healthy meals and snacks
  • Support weekly menu planning and special dietary requirements
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety
  • Monitor temperatures, stock rotation, and food storage
  • Deliver meals safely to nursery rooms
  • Provide cover for the Chef when required

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience (early years or catering desirable)
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (Level 3 preferred); training can be completed on employment
  • Understanding of allergies and children’s dietary needs
  • Positive attitude and strong team work ethic
  • Organised and committed to cleanliness and safety
