SimicX builds autonomous infrastructure that discovers new alpha and then stress-tests it, hard, before anyone risks a dollar on it. The finance world is drowning in data, models, and AI signals. Most of it is overfit noise that dies the moment it touches a live market. We do two things: find the real signal, and prove it's real. That's the whole game, and we play it with some of the best in the world — top systematic hedge funds, quantitative mutual fund desks, and large asset management firms. The people you'll be building for run serious capital and have no patience for noise. Neither do we.

We're hiring two Founder's Associates, and here's the honest version of what that means:

Who you'll work with

The founding team is the reason to do this. Between us we've spent the better part of a decade running data science, quant research, trading, pricing, hedging, and risk at a venture-backed fintech. The CTO is an Oxford mathematician who finished top of her cohort. The commercial side is led by people who built and ran enterprise cloud sales for one of the world's largest tech companies. And one of our angels and active advisers is a partner at a multi-strategy fund running tens of billions in systematic equities. You'll sit next to people who've actually built and sold this stuff at scale — not in theory, in production, with real money on the line. That's rare this early.

What you'll actually do

Work directly with the founders on whatever matters most that week: alpha research, product, customer conversations, building things, breaking them, fixing them. No fixed lane. We'll throw you in the deep end and you'll learn more in three months than most people do in three years. That's the deal, and it's a good one.

What we genuinely need

One thing is non-negotiable: a serious mathematical mind. A degree in mathematics, a quantitative discipline, or quantitative finance — plus some real exposure to quantitative analysis. That can look like a lot of things: a relevant internship, the major you studied, research you've done — or you might already be an MD at a large bank or a PM at a hedge fund looking to build something new. Junior or senior, we don't mind. We mind whether you can think rigorously about numbers, models, uncertainty and want to change the world.

This doesn't have to be your whole life

Full-time, part-time, or while you're still at university — all fine. We don't care about your years of experience or your life stage. Fresh graduate, postgrad still in the lab, someone who just walked out of a job they were done with, someone who's retired and not ready to stop being curious. If you want to see how a tech startup actually gets built from the inside, enjoy the ride, and join the AI wave — this is for you.
