We are seeking to add to our team of CISRS Instructors at our SOMAX centre in Weston-super-Mare, in conjunction with our partners, Weston College. We are looking to recruit scaffolders/existing CISRS Instructors who wish to progress their careers and share their skills and experience with others progressing in the industry. As a provider rated as ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted, we are offering an excellent package that includes target earnings of £48k p/a, 30 days annual leave, a five‑day week and a stakeholder pension. Additional pay is available to those willing to work away from home in our other CISRS centres.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified to CISRS Advanced Scaffolder level with a minimum of five years’ experience.
- Or qualified to CISRS Scaffolder level with a minimum of ten years’ experience.
- Full training and mentoring will be provided if required.
- Development will follow our Instructor development plan, aiming to return fully qualified CISRS Instructors within one year of commencing employment.
Responsibilities
- Use scaffolding experience to coach, mentor, encourage and develop apprentice scaffolders by carrying out periodic reviews of their progress.
- Support the apprentice journey and related processes during the first 6–12 months of development.
- Travel to other SIMIAN centres for shadowing and development; willingness to travel for weekly blocks and occasional overnight stays is required.
Travel Requirements
- Candidates must be based within a commutable distance of our Weston centre, as accommodation and travel allowance is not available for this role.
- Travel to other SIMIAN centres may be required, including overnight stays during development phases.
