We are seeking to add to our team of CISRS Instructors at our SOMAX centre in Weston-super-Mare, in conjunction with our partners, Weston College.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor and develop apprentice scaffolders, performing periodic reviews of their progress.
  • Work both centre- and site-based.
  • Participate in training and mentoring as part of the Instructor development plan, shadowing other CISRS centres, and traveling to these sites as required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to CISRS Advanced Scaffolder level with a minimum of five years’ experience; or Qualified to CISRS Scaffolder level with a minimum of ten years’ experience.
  • Full training and mentoring available for those who require it.
  • Willingness to travel to other CISRS centres (including overnight stays) during the first 6‑12 months of development.
  • Must be based within commuting distance of the Weston centre; accommodation and travel allowance is not available for this role.

Benefits

  • Additional pay for those willing to work away from home in other CISRS centres.
