We are now recruiting an experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead the service, embed high standards from day one, and ensure we are consistently CQC-ready.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have full accountability for the day-to-day running of the home, including compliance, quality, safeguarding, staffing, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead a strong culture of safe, effective and person-centred care, ensuring the service is well-led and inspection-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational running of the home and ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred support
  • Maintain strong CQC compliance: governance, audits, evidence, quality assurance, action plans
  • Ensure robust care planning, risk assessments, reviews and outcome tracking
  • Lead safeguarding, incidents, investigations and statutory notifications
  • Recruit, manage and develop the team (supervision, appraisals, training compliance)
  • Maintain effective rota planning, staffing levels and performance management
  • Work closely with families, professionals, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and embed a positive, values-led culture

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager / Home Manager in a residential care setting (LD/Autism/MH preferred)
  • Eligible to be registered with CQC as Registered Manager (or already registered)
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards and inspection readiness
  • Strong safeguarding experience and confident managing incidents end-to-end
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Adults) (completed or close to completion with a clear plan)
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Right to work in the UK and able to commute to Greater London (on-site role)
  • Enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks required
  • Experience opening a new service / supporting CQC registration from scratch
  • Experience supporting people with complex needs / behaviours that challenge (PBS desirable)
  • Strong governance background (audits, KPIs, compliance dashboards, improvement plans)
