The aim of the Alternatives Value Advisory (Presales) position is to contribute to sales cases with existing and prospective clients by providing business and solution expertise to meet revenue targets and expand SimCorp’s profile. As trusted advisors, the team assists prospects and clients in making optimal decisions about their operating model design. A Value Advisor is expected to articulate the product’s value proposition with precision and conviction—translating complex capabilities into compelling business outcomes that resonate with each stakeholder.
You will be part of a collaborative team of Value Advisory experts. In the role as a Value Advisor for Alternative Investments, you will work closely with Sales, Customer Success Management, and Product Development to understand client needs and requirements. You will provide high‑quality demos, workshops and PoCs in the Alternative Investments space covering private equity, real estate, infrastructure, real assets and hedge funds, and convey the exceptional value proposition of our solutions and services dedicated to the private markets.
What you will be responsible for:
- Deeply understand SimCorp’s market‑leading Alternative Investment solution and convey its value proposition with clarity and precision, effectively serving as an extension of the product team in articulating SimCorp’s vision.
- Engage in early‑stage discovery by working closely with prospects and clients to understand pain points, define solution scope, and shape the narrative around SimCorp’s unique value in the alternatives space.
- Bridge business and technology by translating complex product capabilities for GP and LP business requirements—such as waterfalls, investor relations, look‑through analytics, strategy and forecasting, commitment‑based accounting, and intelligent document processing—into compelling business outcomes for prospects and clients.
- Be fluent in the latest enhancements and maintain demo environments up to date for communicating these innovations effectively.
- Configure and deliver tailored demos and proof‑of‑concepts (POCs), often including real client data, to showcase how SimCorp’s Alternative Investments solution addresses specific client pain points.
- Own RFPs and RFIs by contributing to formal proposals, articulating how SimCorp’s solutions meet technical and operational requirements, particularly for complex asset classes such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure, private debt, hedge funds and other non‑conforming asset classes.
Qualifications:
- Domain expertise in alternatives: deep understanding of private markets including direct and indirect private equity, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, and real assets.
- Extensive (10+ years) experience in a presales or implementation role specializing in Alternative Investments.
- Exceptional demo and presentation skills: ability to deliver compelling, tailored demonstrations of SimCorp Alternatives, translating technical capabilities into business value for asset owners, general partners, and service providers.
- Consultative communication style: strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage stakeholders across business, operations, and IT.
- Experience in comprehensive discovery workshops and RFP support is highly valued.
- Structured and methodical approach: systematic mindset to manage complex solutioning processes as it relates to private markets, from initial scoping to proof‑of‑concept delivery.
