About the role
Simbec-Orion is seeking a Contact Centre Associate to join our Enrolment Services team for a 12 month fixed term contract. You will assist in the recruitment of healthy volunteers, patients, and specialist populations in accordance with ethical guidelines and restrictions involved in Clinical Research. You will manage the recruitment of healthy volunteers and patients for studies undertaken in the Clinical Pharmacology Unit at Simbec-Orion and act as a primary contact for new and existing volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages and responds to all clinical trial enquiries from volunteers made by telephone, email, or social media.
- Pre-screens volunteers according to the protocol criteria for each Clinical Trial to ensure eligibility.
- Provides volunteers with appropriate knowledge, study information, and documentation required for screening and study participation.
- Evaluates volunteer feedback and implements changes where necessary.
- Supports monitoring of Simbec-Orion\’s Volunteer Website and Social Media pages during campaigns.
- Supports with tracking and reporting on key study statistics, including advertising campaigns metrics, volunteer applications, and screening data.
- Assists in managing the volunteer recruitment database, ensuring accurate data entry and confidentiality, including database searches to identify suitable volunteers for upcoming studies.
- Supports in generating procedures to effectively pre-screen and recruit volunteers onto Phase I Clinical Trials.
Skills Required
ESSENTIAL:
- Educated to GCSE level or overseas equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage changes to priorities/deadlines
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently as required
- Strong computer skills including MS-Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
DESIRABLE:
- Educated to A-Level or Equivalent (BTEC/ HND/NVQ) or overseas equivalent
- Experience running social media campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Understanding of GDPR when handling personal information
- Experience working with Standard Operating Procedures
