Role Purpose
Simba Sleep is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Technologist to manage product compliance, specifications, and quality across its innovative sleep product portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring all Simba products meet UK, EU, and ISO standards, while supporting the development of market-leading sleep solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Compliance & Standards
• Ensure all Simba Sleep products comply with relevant UK, EU, and ISO standards and UK regulations.
• Maintain and update the Simba Sleep Quality Manual, distributing revisions to suppliers.
• Monitor and maintain accreditation schemes such as CertiPUR.
• Ensure all suppliers are Sedex SMETA compliant.
• Inspect and audit supplier facilities.
• Product Specifications & Testing
• Own and manage product specifications, including revision control and communication of changes.
• Coordinate ad hoc product and component testing through UK and international facilities.
• Market & Material Monitoring
• Conduct, analyse and report on monthly commodity pricing checks on raw materials to support cost control and forecasting.
• Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely testing and compliance.
• Collaborate with Product Development to support the creation of innovative, market-leading products.
• Support the Customer Experience team with technical product issues.
• Conduct supplier site visits to monitor processes.
• Regulatory Monitoring & Reporting
• Keep the business informed of changes to product regulations and standards.
• Monitor product returns data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• International Expansion
• Contribute to product development and compliance efforts as Simba expands into new international markets.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience as a Technologist within a leading retailer or consumer goods brand in the furniture or homewares sector
• Strong understanding of product compliance, testing, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously • Background or knowledge in textiles is desirable but not essential
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel to factories within the UK and sometimes internationally
