Simba Courier Logistics Ltd is looking for an organised and proactive Operations Shift Manager to oversee the daily running of our delivery operation. You will be responsible for ensuring routes are dispatched efficiently, supporting drivers throughout the day, liaising with a top-tier parcel delivery network, managing operational issues, and helping deliver a smooth and successful operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily delivery operation from dispatch through to close.
- Allocate routes and support drivers throughout their shifts.
- Act as the main point of contact with our parcel delivery network during your shift.
- Monitor live operations and resolve delivery issues.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and manage fleet availability.
- Monitor driver performance and support improvement where required.
- Maintain operational reports and ensure accurate administration.
- Assist with rota planning, staffing, and preparation for future operational days.
- Ensure compliance with company and parcel delivery network operational standards.
What We're Looking For
- Aged 25 or over.
- Hold a full UK driving licence that has been valid for at least 12 months.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in making operational decisions.
- Previous experience in courier operations, logistics, transport, fleet management, or on-road management is highly desirable.
- Experience managing people is an advantage.
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to contribute to the continued growth and development of the operation.
Working Hours
This is a full-time, shift-based role covering operational hours between 6:00am and approximately 10:00pm. Shifts are shared across the management team and include mornings, full days, late shifts, and weekend working on a rota basis.

Salary & Performance Opportunities
We offer a competitive remuneration package tailored to the experience, capability, and suitability of the successful candidate. As a guide, base salary may start in the region of £30,000 - £35,000 per year, with flexibility for the right candidate. The role also offers significant performance-based bonus opportunities, with overall earning potential closely linked to individual performance, team success, and the continued growth of the operation.
