The predicted salary is between 38250 - 46750 £ per year.

We are recruiting an experienced Fleet Manager / Fleet Controller to take hands-on responsibility for the daily availability, maintenance and repair planning of a busy commercial vehicle fleet. This is an early-start, early-finish role, expected to operate around 05:30-13:30, with some flexibility during busy operational periods and occasional on-call support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review fleet availability and vehicle condition each morning
  • Identify and action vehicle defects, maintenance and repair requirements
  • Plan workshop, servicing, MOT, tyre and repair bookings
  • Manage VOR vehicles and minimise vehicle downtime
  • Coordinate mechanical, bodywork and accident repairs
  • Progress repairs with workshops, garages, bodyshops and suppliers
  • Maintain accurate fleet, maintenance and repair records
  • Monitor preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
  • Track repair costs, recurring defects and fleet performance
  • Provide clear daily reporting on vehicle availability and outstanding actions

About You

Previous fleet management or fleet control experience is required. Experience within commercial vehicles, vans/LCVs, transport, logistics, vehicle maintenance, workshops, bodyshops or accident repair would be highly valuable. You should be organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of multiple vehicles and repair requirements at the same time. Experience with accident management, workshop planning, VOR reduction and repair cost control would be a significant advantage. Full UK driving licence required.

Working Pattern & Package

  • £35,000-£42,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • Approximately 05:30-13:30 early-shift working pattern
  • Early start / early finish
