Job Title: HGV Class 1 Container Driver (Nights)
Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: £51,974 per annum
Hours: Full-Time / 50 hours per week (Night shift)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Container Driver to join our Transport team based in Witham, Essex, working a fixed Monday-Friday night shift.

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card
- Previous experience in container collections and deliveries.
- RHIDES card would be beneficial
- A strong focus on safety and compliance
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
- A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and transport regulations.
- Basic computer literacy
- Carrying out container collections and deliveries between the Port and our Witham depot, along with direct customer deliveries as required.
- Conducting daily vehicle and trailer checks, ensuring roadworthiness at all times
- Accurately completing pre-drive inspection reports
- Ensuring loads are distributed safely and legally
- Driving responsibly with consideration for other road users and the public
- Maintaining your vehicle to a clean and professional standard
- Following all Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Adhering to Company Health & Safety procedures and site safety rules
- Wearing appropriate PPE and reporting any accidents or near misses
