We are urgently seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Driver (late shift) to join the team at our Stoke on Trent site. This is an immediate start, please apply today!
Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Applicants must have worked in a logistics/warehouse environment before and have previous loading/unloading vehicles and experience of operating Counterbalance Forklift truck.
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving licence is essential.
- Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage.
- Order pick and stock count.
- Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
- Ability to function well as part of a team.
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Punctual, reliable and professional.
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- The role will entail the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles by using a forklift truck, pallet truck VNA MHE or by hand.
- Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans.
- Pick and pack orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full.
- Wrap and unwrap of goods.
- Stock management.
- Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt.
- Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse.
- Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site.
