Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a European Import Administrator to join our European Operations team. This is a key administrative role providing essential support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our European import activities.
This position is well suited to an organised and detail-focused individual who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working through daily operational tasks within a fast-paced logistics setting. From managing daily tasks to coordinating with clients, overseas agents, hauliers, and internal teams, you’ll be the go-to person ensuring every import runs smoothly, on time, and remains fully compliant.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Arrange cargo collections across Europe and take cargo bookings from customers
- Liaise with European partners and agencies, building strong service relationships
- Check and verify commercial invoices
- Liaise with customers, internal customs teams, warehouse teams and in-house transport
- Quote for European import shipments and arrange domestic delivery notes for transport
- Ensure effective internal communication between Customs, Transport and Warehouse teams
- Accurately enter shipment details, charges and costs into the Transport Management System (TMS)
- Prepare unloading lists for the warehouse and ensure customer service objectives are achieved
- Maintain a full understanding of ISO and AEO systems
- Apply hazardous goods knowledge where required
- Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Respond to customer communications via email and telephone
Key Skills and Qualifications to Succeed in this Role:
- Experience working in a customer service or administrative role (essential)
- European planning experience within an import/export environment
- Knowledge of import customs regulations and procedures, including T1/T2 documentation
- Customer service experience within the freight forwarding industry (desirable)
- Logistics experience and confidence liaising with European partners
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- GCSE English and Maths at pass grade (or equivalent)
