We are looking for a sharp, organised European Import/Export Administrator to help keep our European Operations running like clockwork. Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Proven experience in a similar role (logistics or transport sector experience is highly desirable)
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines using own initiative
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages
- Problem-solving skills, numerate and a customer-first approach
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients, overseas agents, and internal departments
- Taking bookings from Operations and accurately inputting them into the system
- Checking customer invoices to ensure customs compliance
- Working with the Internal Customs Team to raise export documentation
- Coordinating with overseas customs clearance agents
- Extracting and managing data from third-party systems
- Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
- Charging and costing shipments accurately
- Resolving issues with hauliers when required
