Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Applicants must have worked in a logistics/warehouse environment before and have previous loading/unloading vehicles and experience of operating Counterbalance Forklift truck.
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving licence is essential.
- Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage.
- Order pick and stock count.
- Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
- Ability to function well as part of a team.
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Punctual, reliable and professional.
Compensation:
- Noon - 18:00 - 22:00 - £14.58/hour.
- Nights - 22:00 - 06:00 - £15.21/hour.
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- The role will entail the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers’ goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles by using a forklift truck, pallet truck VNA MHE or by hand.
- Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans.
- Pick and pack orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full.
- Wrap and unwrap of goods.
- Stock management.
- Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt.
- Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse.
- Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site.
