We are urgently seeking reliable and experienced Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Drivers (Friday/Saturday & Monday only) to join the groupage team at our Witham site. This is an immediate start, please apply today!
Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Applicants must have worked in a logistics/warehouse environment before
- Previous loading/unloading vehicles experience
- Experience of operating Counterbalance Forklift truck
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving licence is essential
- Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage
- Order pick and stock count
- Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- Ability to function well as part of a team
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety
- Ability to work under pressure
- Punctual, reliable and professional
Compensation: £12.68 - £15.21 per hour/Friday/Saturday and Monday only
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- The role will entail the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles by using a forklift truck, pallet truck VNA MHE or by hand
- Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans
- Pick and pack orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full
- Wrap and unwrap of goods
- Stock management
- Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
- Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse
- Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site
