Position: Business Development Lead Belfast office base, but with some requirement to travel (including meeting customers throughout the UK and/or abroad and attendance at relevant sales events as necessary) Responsibilities: Relationship Building Develop and maintain strong connections with brokers and buyers to facilitate successful land sales. Build long-term partnerships to support sustained growth. Lead Generation Conduct outbound calls, web-based interactions, and face-to-face meetings to generate new business opportunities. Maintain a continuous pipeline of leads to ensure consistent progress. Sales Tracking and Reporting Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive sales growth. Provide regular updates on the sales pipeline to support decision-making. Collaboration with Estimating Teams Work closely with internal estimating teams to evaluate project scopes, identify opportunities, and determine success factors for winning bids. Strategic Planning and Budgeting Develop sales strategies, manage annual budgets, and oversee rolling forecasts to align with business objectives. Competencies: Passion for sustainable energy solutions, M&E construction, and facilities management. A proactive leader who inspires enthusiasm and drives results. Proven ability to discover and capitalise on new market opportunities. Strong team player with exceptional communication and persuasion skills. Dedicated to achieving shared goals and contributing to the growth and stability of the organisation. Requirements: In-depth knowledge of the UK & Ireland markets with an established network of industry contacts. Significant experience in account management, sales, or business development, particularly within construction, development, and general contracting sectors. A demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and growth targets in a similar business. A strong understanding of the construction industry, facilities management, and clean energy sectors. Proficient in using CRM systems for customer and pipeline management.
