Here at Silverton Vets we are looking for an experienced RVN to join our friendly and dedicated team based in South Devon close to the sea and moors, as our Head Nurse!
We are an RCVS Accredited Veterinary Practice with surgeries in Paignton and Brixham. We are well equipped with Digital Xray, endoscopy, ultrasound, K-laser, full Lab, separate dental suite and imaging room, two theatres.
Your new role will be varied as we have faith in our supportive and clinically lead nursing team to be involved in all aspects of veterinary care. As a practice we also understand the importance of developing our skills so CPD is encouraged and funded.
As the Head Nurse, you will work alongside the Head Vet and Practice Director in the day to day running of the practice. You will support the nursing team, and drive clinical standards. Lead from the front and be involved in the management and training of our friendly and enthusiastic nurse team. You will support various clinical and non-clinical projects and initiatives, PSS compliance plus PSS awards and Health & Safety. We fully utilise our nurses through consults, schedule 3 and aim to deliver a high standard of care.
We have on offer full time 40 hours per week however we are happy to discuss flexible and part time working patterns to suit your needs. Our rota also includes 1:8 Saturdays and no OOH.
