A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Director with knowledge of system integration to join the market-leading clean technology company standing at the forefront of ship efficiency solutions and maritime decarbonisation, Silverstream Technologies.

Reporting To: Chief Commercial Officer

Location: London or Southampton Office, including Hybrid Working. Travel to the London office will be essential for this role.

The Business Development Director will lead Silverstream Technologies in proactively building relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholder groups for the Silverstream System, and develop sales channels and business models which drive business growth and profitability. They will have strong commercial relationships, understand market needs and create and execute business plans for solutions for allocated market segments, sales channels and customers.

The role will work with the Sales team to drive the sales process for allocated opportunities.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  1. Degree in a relevant engineering subject.
  2. Experience in business development and sales activity related to equipment, systems and system integration within the marine sector.
  3. Track record of developing marine equipment sales opportunities to closure.
  4. Able to present and discuss technical and commercial content both internally and to potential customers, and translate customer needs into solution requirements.
  5. Experience of propulsion system integration.
  6. Ability to develop creative solutions for marine equipment sales.
  7. Leadership positions in the marine industry, with experience of working with or for industrial partners.
  8. Strong network within the marine industry, with owners, shipyards, charterers and other stakeholders.
