Description

To monitor and protect SCL assets including managing access to and from the venue; conducting proactive patrols and responding to security related incidents on site.

Hours: Determined by rota. Four day shifts 0700-1900, four days off, four night shifts 1900-0700, four days off.

Key Responsibilities

The post has a direct impact on the safety and security of the venue and the various events hosted on site. Not only does it affect operations, it also has a bearing on people’s first impression of the security within the venue. It is essential that the security is managed and operated to the highest standards.

• Maintain secure perimeter to the venue
• Manage access into and out of venue.
• Conduct proactive patrols.
• Working at the Main Gate as and when required.
• Respond to security related incidents including fire and intruder alarm activations.
• Identify and record security or maintenance issues throughout the Venue.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures relevant to the role.

Team Responsibilities

• Promote at all times the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation.
• Participate in staff training as required.
• Comply with company policies and health and safety requirements at all times, encouraging an awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Any additional responsibilities as reasonably required.

Performance will be monitored against the following:

• Objectives set through the Personal Development Review (PDR) process
• Ownership and completion of agreed business priorities in a timely manner

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• SIA Door Supervisor licence, (required.)
• SIA CCTV Operators licence, (desired.)
• Ability to operate in a dynamic working environment.
• Attention to detail, handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Hold full UK manual driving licence.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic environment.
