Description
The logistics department is a fast-paced team who thrive on the delivery of interchangeable infrastructure and site set ups throughout the calendar year. The team manage the end-to-end delivery of logistics for all live events and activities. Providing onsite support during the events and engage with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient solution for all logistical needs and challenges.
Silverstone Circuits is looking for a proactive Logistics Assistant to support the Logistics Supervisor in delivering the set up & breakdown of all events. Maintaining the appearance of the venue, distributing furniture and equipment across site, in a timely & professional manner. Providing high-end service to all stakeholders.

- All internal departments. The key business areas critical to the success of our events including AV, venue services, facilities & estates, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Support in the setup and breakdown of all events as instructed by the Logistics Supervisor, Logistics Manager or Event Manager.
- Responsible for the storage and distribution of all furniture and equipment across the site on a day -today basis, ensuring the right inventory is delivered & set up to the right location, at the right time.
- Ensure your daily tasks are signed off by the Logistics Supervisor.
- Ensure you are aware of daily health and safety changes to site.
- Assisting on live events where required.
- Ensuring both front & back of house areas are kept clean and tidy, to the highest standard, at all times, including storage areas.
- Assist the Logistics Supervisor in maintaining a site asset inventory, including sensitive equipment,
operating a tracker sign-in/out accountability system for such items. - Ensuring all equipment both internal & external is accounted for, maintained to a high quality, stored suitably, and taken care of.
- Ensure all external hire equipment is inspected on receipt by the department and on collection, reporting any issues to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Reporting equipment failure, damages and missing equipment to the Logistics Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure that all internal and external deliveries are loaded and offloaded safely by the correct method.
- Responsible for driving company vehicles across site, moving, returning, and positioning inventory assets or goods in a safe manner.
- Ensure all vehicles, buildings and storage areas are secure and locked at close of business each day.
- Understanding of Risk Assessments and safe ways of working, making sure the correct PPE is used for the required task.
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment have before and after use checks, recording information.

- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong communication skills.

- Full clean UK driving license.
- Forklift Certificate and/or Telehandler licence (desirable).
- Class 2 HGV licence (desirable).
- Manual Handling certificate.
