Overview
We cater for everything from tea and coffee for five to hospitality functions for 1,000, conference and events business and the BRDC clubhouse – 52 weeks per year, seven days a week, delivering over 30,000+ business lunches a year! Our new Karting Track will boast an in-house operated pizza restaurant and bar, open to karters, public as well as offering a delivery service across the venue. Wherever possible, we source local ingredients and cook in house from scratch.

Description

This is an integral role which works across all departments and external suppliers to ensure the success of Silverstone Circuit enabling us to become a nationally recognised, family focused leisure destination with motor sport at its heart.

Hours

Full‑time 40 hours per week including weekends & evenings.

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake general kitchen duties as and when required, for example, dish washing.
  • Ensure all customers receive clean tableware.
  • To adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • To ensure all kitchen areas are clear of debris and conform to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
  • Unload food and equipment deliveries.
  • Keep the storeroom organised and tidy.
  • Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitise.

Team Standards & Responsibilities

  • To maintain a clean and tidy workplace at all times in compliance with current Food Safety and Health & Safety Laws.
  • To adhere to rules and best practice of Hygiene, Health and Safety at all times to ensure full compliance with all relevant current legislation.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • An understanding of Health and Safety in kitchens, how to avoid cross contamination and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • An understanding of the importance of the Kitchen Porter’s role and an urgency to complete tasks on time.
  • Experience with basic food preparation desirable.
  • This role can be physically demanding and may involve long hours.
  • Experience is not essential as full training will be given but you must have the desire to offer the highest standards in customer service.
  • Must have, or be willing to complete within the first 6 months, a basic hygiene certificate.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
