Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer and Production Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative engineering company who, for almost 40 years, have been providing a range of superior-quality exhaust systems to the highest levels of motorsport both in the UK and around the world, including F1, Indycar and various levels of GT racing.
Responsibilities
- Develop products to meet customer specifications
- Design tooling and fixturing
- Modify customer design to meet manufacturing capabilities
- Liaise with in-house fabricators and machinists
- Perform general office duties
- Maintain part number databases
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD package
- Engineering degree background
- Methodical approach with good verbal and visual communication skills
- Ability to present oneself in a confident manner
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work professionally and maintain confidentiality requirements
Experience
- Have or will have completed level 5 of an engineering degree (2nd year undergraduate)
- Graduates also accepted
- Formula student experience desired but not essential
- Willing to present a short portfolio of work
