We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to join our team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining technical inspection expertise with responsibility for developing and guiding the Inspection team.
Key duties include:
- Leading and developing the Inspection team
- Carrying out first‑off and final inspections
- Performing NDT dye penetrant testing on component parts and full assemblies
- Completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) where required
- Programming and operating Faro Arm and CMM measuring equipment
- Interpreting complex engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
- Managing NCRs, including investigation and resolution
- Calibrating inspection and measurement equipment
- Inspecting components from internal production and external suppliers
- Supporting non‑conformance investigations and technical issue resolution
- Ensuring products are released in line with customer inspection requirements, with full supporting documentation
- Maintaining accurate inspection records and high standards of housekeeping
- Attending progress meetings and liaising with customers and internal stakeholders
- Occasional travel to customer premises as required
Essential requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- NDT Dye Penetrant Testing certification to Level 2
- Proven experience leading or mentoring inspection teams
- Experience programming and using Faro Arm measuring equipment (scanning and probing)
- Experience programming and operating CMMs
- Confident using hand‑held measuring equipment
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
- Experience producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality environment
- Experience using ERP systems (M1 preferred)
