The operations department is a fast-paced team who thrive on the delivery and management of site access throughout the year. This team maintains the application and approval process for both companies and individuals’ access to a safe and secure site.
Job Purpose
To assist in the delivery of accreditation access control of Silverstone’s event partners for all Public Events and year‑round access. Ensuring that passes are created and distributed in accordance with terms and conditions and done in a way that is efficient to support the success of our events. Please note this is a six month full time contract opportunity only.
Silverstone is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk and expects all team members and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks and DBS checks at the appropriate level will be obtained prior to employment commencing.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist in all aspects of Silverstone’s accreditation system for the delivery of major events held at the circuit.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding their event stakeholders.
- Consult with external stakeholders regarding their accreditation requirements.
- Produce both staff and event partners accreditation for all events and year‑round access.
- Assist with the running of Silverstone’s accreditation software.
- Ensure accurate records are kept in the accreditation system.
- Ensure quality is maintained on all accreditations issued.
- Support with the delivery of the Accreditation office during event periods through creation, management and distribution of accreditation passes and other access control requirements for Silverstone.
Team Responsibilities
- To ensure data protection policies are adhered to.
- To adhere to all of Silverstone’s Health & Safety, Security and P & C policies.
- To be available for work during all dates covered by F1 BGP, Moto GP and CarFest.
Performance Responsibilities
- Performance will be monitored against the following:
- Accurate record keeping.
- Prompt timekeeping.
- Number of correct accreditations produced.
Key Relationships
- Internal stakeholders (department heads etc.)
- External stakeholders (F1, Moto GP, SCL event partners and contractors)
- SCL staff (both full‑time and Zero Hour)
- Public Event Teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other bespoke software. Training will be provided for specific systems.
- Good administration skills.
- Work in a logical and consistent manner.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- A flexible approach to working hours, irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
