Description

Silverstone Circuit – the home of British motorsport – is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven individual to join our team as a Formula 1 Partnership Manager. This pivotal role will serve as the primary point of contact between Silverstone and all Formula 1 teams, ensuring their operational, logistical, and hospitality needs are met year-round, with a key focus on the Formula 1 British Grand Prix annually.

Key Responsibilities

Formula 1 British Grand Prix

  • Act as the main liaison for all Formula 1 teams in the run-up to and during the British Grand Prix.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each team’s operational and logistical requirements, including access, egress, paddock needs, parking, and team-specific protocols.
  • Coordinate internally with Silverstone departments (Security, Operations, Paddock, Accreditation, etc.) to provide a ‘single point of contact’ solution for, and ensure seamless delivery of services to, teams.
  • Provide real-time problem-solving support during race week to ensure smooth team operations and quick resolution of issues.

Year‑Round Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key contacts at each Formula 1 team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all ad hoc team activities at Silverstone throughout the year, such as private testing, filming days, corporate events, or Christmas parties.
  • Proactively identify ways Silverstone can support and add value to each team\'s experience at the circuit, as well as identifying ways in which Silverstone can grow its commercial revenues from teams’ interaction with our business.
  • As the relationship lead, manage communications, bookings, and on‑the‑ground support for all team engagements outside of the Grand Prix.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with departments including Events, Operations, Commercial, and Hospitality to ensure coordinated delivery of services.
  • Prepare reports and feedback summaries post‑event to support continual improvement.
  • Represent Silverstone’s values and commitment to excellence in all external interactions.
  • Work with internal stake holder groups to grow F1 team participation in other Silverstone events and activities, for example at the Silverstone Festival.

ESG

  • Support initiatives that align with Silverstone’s ESG objectives and the ESG objectives of the Formula 1 teams.
  • Identify opportunities for community engagement and charitable collaboration tied to Formula 1 team activations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience in account management, operations, or client services—ideally within motorsport, events, or the sports industry.
  • A deep understanding of the Formula 1 ecosystem and paddock culture.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and projects simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and adaptable to the fast‑moving nature of live events.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during the British Grand Prix and other key events.

Silverstone is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk and expects all team members and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks and DBS checks at the appropriate level will be obtained prior to employment commencing.
