Description
To ensure the effective and efficient management of all small to medium on-site bars for MICE and Track events in accordance with the client’s brief, company policies and procedures, and within agreed budget and profit margins. Assist the Senior Event Managers and Events Team Leader in procedures and site-wide policies, ensuring they are kept up to date with current practices and standards.
Silverstone is seeking a highly motivated Bar Supervisor/Bartender skilled in detail-oriented service, member recognition, POS systems, tending bar, and training new staff and volunteers. The Bar Supervisor must be visible at appropriate times and ensure a management presence to guarantee member and guest satisfaction. The role requires a firm grasp of bar management, goal development, and a positive attitude promoting teamwork. Knowledge of various bar products is essential.
You will contribute to growing the events by introducing new ideas and ensuring they are targeted at the appropriate audience.

Key Responsibilities
- Validate sales contracts received from other departments against set procedures.
- Conduct regular stock-takes and reorder supplies as needed.
- Handle deliveries and maintain stock condition.
- Enforce health and safety regulations.
- Resolve customer issues.
- Act as the main liaison for the client on all events, managing customer accounts and ensuring adherence to the brief and budget, while fostering relationships.
- Organize and document all aspects of medium and small-scale corporate events, from initial handover and contingency planning to post-event evaluation and final account reconciliation.
- Manage the bar\’s de rigueur and ensure the venue is returned to its original state, complying with standards.
- Support Senior Event Managers in planning and delivering large-scale events.
- Identify and create new commercial opportunities to expand the business, enhance revenues, improve customer experience, and reduce costs.
- Accurately communicate event information to stakeholders.
- Gather and manage health and safety documentation where appropriate.
- Oversee daily bar operations with the Corporate Event Supervisors.
- Develop and improve in-house systems and processes.
- Ensure all event setups meet company standards prior to event dates.
- Provide operational guidance to catering staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen, safety regulations, and licensing laws.
- Attend weekly planning and briefing meetings.
- Support departmental initiatives as needed.
Team Standards & Responsibilities

- Maintain high standards of professionalism and personal presentation to uphold the company\’s image.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in conference, banqueting, hospitality, or event environments.
- Experience supervising small to medium corporate or venue events.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification (preferred).
- Personal License (preferred).
- Commercially and operationally focused with a hands-on approach.
- Proactive, problem-solving, and self-motivated.
- Team player with initiative.
