ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager - North (12‑Month Fixed-Term - Maternity Cover) based in the North to enhance brand awareness and support trade accounts in the North of England, Scotland, NI & Ireland. This role is pivotal in maintaining strong relationships, promoting Silversea, and identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within an assigned call list. The primary goal is to increase revenue with our Gold & Silver accounts and real estate shops.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-the-Road Engagement: Spend 3 days a week visiting trade accounts in accordance with a strategic call plan. Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales - South to maximise opportunities.
- Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for travel agents, addressing day-to-day queries and uncovering sales opportunities.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with Store Managers, Sales Managers, and key decision-makers.
- Sales Growth Contribution: Identify and pursue new opportunities to drive brand sales across various business models.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare insightful reports that provide valuable perspectives on brand performance and market trends.
- Consistent Presence: Regularly visit trade partners following a well-structured weekly schedule.
- Training Initiatives: Conduct engaging training sessions both in-person and virtually.
- Revenue Opportunities: Actively seek opportunities to increase revenue with Gold & Silver accounts.
- Event Participation: Organise and participate in ad-hoc events, both in-person and virtual.
- Webinars: Host regular webinars to keep small and medium-sized accounts informed and engaged with the brand.
- Trade Events Attendance: Represent Silversea at trade events, both during the day and in the evening.
- Flexible Schedule: Be prepared for evening and weekend work as needed.
What you will bring to the role
- Ability to build external relationships to seek further business opportunities.
- Build strong retailer relationships, with key retailers.
- Act as fulfillment point for any marketing lead agent recruitment campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Account Manager North & Strategic Account Manager Scotland, NI & Ireland.
- Assist in departmental sales efforts to move soft sailings and last minute inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of all agency interactions.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events when required.
Measure of performance
- Increased revenue in Gold & Silver segments in the North.
- Meet productivity targets – for example visiting a minimum number of agents per week.
REQUIREMENTS
- Based in the North.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal day-to-day direction.
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals and drive profitable revenue growth.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and external contacts.
- Must possess a positive, team-player attitude.
- Minimum 1 year in a sales role. Cruise or luxury travel preferred.
- Fast learner and passion for sales.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations.
- Proven ability to effectively qualify new leads and identify potential for sales growth.
- Confident and engaging presenter and excellent communicator.
- High standard of written and verbal skills.
