We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Treasury Asset and Liability Manager to oversee and manage the financial assets, liquidity, risk, and capital management for SilverRock. The ALM manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effective deployment of funds, managing risks associated with assets, and optimising cash flow. This individual will be responsible for executing strategies that support our company\’s growth, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and strengthen our financial foundation with a strong understanding of regulatory reporting and regulatory metrics.
Role Responsibilities:
You will work with the Head of Treasury to achieve the objectives listed below.
Cash and Liquidity Management:
- Oversee intraday cash flow requirements, ensuring adequate liquidity for business operations and working capital needs;
- Optimise the company\’s asset balances across multiple accounts and exchanges to maximise returns;
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasting models;
- Deliver the investment strategy to maximise returns for SilverRock, aligning with the company\’s financial goals and risk tolerance;
- Measure and manage balance sheet risk; notably interest rate and liquidity risks.
Asset Management:
- Manage the Bank\’s exposures to liquidity, funding, interest rate and capital risks;
- Build and manage the bank\’s liquidity and investment portfolio;
- Implement best practices for safeguarding assets;
- Monitor market trends and optimise treasury allocations to ensure liquidity and maximize yield;
- Manage custodian and counterparty relationships.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through participation in regular risk monitoring, ILAAP and ICAP processes;
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Treasury Operations:
- Record treasury transactions accurately in the financial systems;
- Maintain treasury processes and procedures, regularly assessing controls;
- Monitor and improve payment processing efficiency and reduce operational friction;
- Deliver the implementation of automated treasury tools for cash, risk, and liquidity management.
About You
We are looking for an exceptionally talented, highly motivated individual with proven experience across Treasury/ALM. The successful candidate will help to build the treasury function of the Bank, working closely with other teams as required to drive commercial growth of the business. We require an individual with energy, authenticity, gravitas and charisma – capable of initiating and nurturing relationships.
What You Will Need:
- Experience in balance sheet management or a treasury background with a good knowledge of risk management;
- Demonstrable awareness in the management of Treasury assets;
- Knowledge of asset and liability management (ALM) techniques;
- Understanding of the UK regulatory environment;
- Knowledge of treasury investment products;
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across an organisation;
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance risk and reward;
- Experience working in a treasury or similar role, automating treasury operations, transaction recording, cash management, risk management or liquidity management.
