With teams across London, Boston, Brisbane, and Stockholm, we’re building the digital backbone of global rail.
We’re now looking for a UX & UI Designer to join us on a 6-month contract and help craft intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling experiences across our digital products. As a UX & UI Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping user-centric experiences across our web and mobile platforms. Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers, you’ll take ideas from concept through to delivery while balancing creativity, usability, and real-world impact.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute across the full design lifecycle, from discovery and research to prototyping and final delivery, helping us continuously improve and innovate our products.
What You’ll Do
- Design and iterate on user experiences across web and mobile platforms
- Own features end-to-end, from discovery through to delivery and optimisation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive design solutions
- Create wireframes, journey maps, user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Deliver high-fidelity UI designs aligned with brand and design system standards
- Maintain and evolve our design system and component library in Figma
- Conduct UX research (usability testing, interviews, analytics) to validate design decisions
- Identify usability, accessibility, and performance improvements across products
- Use data and user insights to continuously refine and enhance the user experience
- Partner closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation
- Stay up to date with UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI design, with strong UX methodology expertise
- A portfolio showcasing end-to-end design thinking and real-world product impact
- Strong proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
- Experience designing for web and/or mobile in a product-focused environment
- Hands-on experience with UX research methods and translating insights into design improvements
- Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and UX artefacts (personas, journey maps, etc.)
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and inclusive design
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for high-quality, polished design
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly present design decisions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
