Location: Wrexham

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern:

  • Shift 1: 6.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday.
  • Shift 2: 2.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Thursday, 2.00pm to 6.00pm on a Friday.
  • Shift 3: 10.00pm to 6.00am Sunday to Thursday.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Production Operator to join our established team within the masterbatch and plastics additives sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to producing high-quality products. You will be operating production machinery, supporting blending and extrusion processes, and ensuring all materials meet strict quality standards. Full training will be provided, with a clear pathway to achieving the post probation hourly rate of £14.45.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing machinery for masterbatch production.
  • Prepare raw materials, weigh ingredients, and follow production formulas.
  • Monitor production lines and carry out routine checks.
  • Complete batch records and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and report any issues.
  • Support quality control procedures, including sampling and visual checks.
  • Adhere to all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.

About You

  • Previous experience in plastics, masterbatch, extrusion, or manufacturing preferred (but training can be provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Comfortable working in a physically active role (manual handling required).
  • Ability to follow instructions, production schedules, and safety guidelines.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Willing to work shifts.
