Base pay range

Location: SilverDoor Lancaster office

As the Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for recruitment administration, sourcing high-quality candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing the candidate experience throughout the process. Due to the success of the business, this role will provide you with the opportunity to support recruitment across all departments and global offices.

You’ll be engaging with stakeholders throughout the business and candidates at various levels, so it is essential that you are an effective and confident communicator with an organised approach to your workload. Reporting into our Senior Recruitment Specialist, you will often be the first point of contact with candidates and therefore, upholding the reputation of the business is imperative in this role.

We run an exceptionally successful student placement programme, our ‘SilverDoor Placement Academy’, of which you will coordinate the promotion and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Recruitment Specialist with all recruitment activities including posting job adverts, screening applications, and conducting screening calls to gauge candidate suitability
  • Coordinate interview schedules, make room bookings, and issue relevant correspondence to both candidates and hiring managers
  • Work with hiring managers to define recruitment requirements and ensure that job descriptions are updated and accurate
  • Source candidates through a variety of attraction methods using direct channels and creative means, including social media, job boards, internal and external adverts to identify suitable candidates in the most cost-effective way
  • Take ownership for respective vacancies ensuring that all recruitment activities are completed in a timely manner while ensuring quality of service
  • Accurately record all recruitment and hiring-related data and manage the administration of recruitment platforms
  • Take ownership of the candidate experience ensuring a positive candidate experience at all stages of the process regardless of the application outcome
  • Provide feedback to agencies or candidates
  • Assist in internal recruitment communication
  • Provide regular updates to senior management & directors on recruitment activity
  • Ensure regular relevant recruitment communication is circulated internally
  • Be an ambassador for SilverDoor at industry events
  • You may be asked to support with wider HR activities such as employee onboarding and company inductions on occasion.

SilverDoor Academy

  • Assist with SilverDoor\'s annual academy programme, posting advertisements, screening applications, and scheduling interviews
  • Manage existing and create new relationships with university contacts throughout the UK
  • Attend careers fairs promoting the academy opportunities to students

Experience

  • Proven recruitment experience (in-house or agency)
  • Recruitment and selection techniques, processes, and procedures
  • Experience of International Recruitment
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, with the ability to identify and engage with passive candidates
  • Experience of placing new hires in a variety of positions up to and including senior management level

  • Ability to work under own initiative with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Can prioritise and manage daily workloads
  • Ability to build strong relationships, engage with hiring managers, and work effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible to travel when required
