We are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to support financial reporting and performance in a fast-growing serviced apartment business. This role suits someone who enjoys working with data, understands financial drivers, and is comfortable operating across multiple markets and entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management Accounts & Reporting
    • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts across multiple markets
    • Analyse P&L performance, including:
      • Revenue (ADR, occupancy, bookings)
      • Cost of sales (supplier costs, commissions, margins)
      • Overheads
    • Provide clear commentary on key performance drivers
  • Month-End & Financial Control
    • Support the month-end close process
    • Prepare and review:
      • Transactional import data
      • Bank reconciliations
      • Accruals and prepayments
      • Depreciation and fixed assets
      • Intercompany reconciliations
    • Ensure journals are accurate and well supported
    • Maintain control over revenue, costs, and balance sheet positions
  • Supplier & Expenses Support
    • Review and reconcile high-volume supplier costs
    • Support with vendor payment process (invoice logging, paying and reconciling)
    • Monitor rates, commissions, and contracts
    • Work with internal teams to ensure cost accuracy
  • Balance Sheet & Controls
    • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including accruals and intercompany balances
    • Maintain strong financial controls
  • Systems & Process Improvement
    • Use systems such as Sage 200 (and internal ERP)
    • Improve reporting, processes, and data accuracy
    • Support system and integration projects
  • Audit & Compliance
    • Assist with audits across UK and international entities
    • Support VAT and compliance requirements
    • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual statutory filing obligations

Experience:

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
  • Experience preparing management accounts
  • Good understanding of revenue and cost drivers
  • Experience in serviced apartments, hospitality, travel, or property (desirable)
  • Experience with high-volume data or system implementations (desirable)
