Job Description
As the Head of Projects, you will be responsible for overall project management and quality assurance to deliver and implement high-quality technology projects and products. The Head of Projects will collaborate and communicate with colleagues across the business, analyse and identify business requirements, plan delivery, structure a clear resolution plan, and implement it effectively and engagingly, including hand-over to the customers.
- Own and deliver technology projects across the group in collaboration with the engineering teams, CITO, Head of Development, and cross-business teams
- Implementation of "best practice" project management methodologies based on the team makeup and roadmap. Be the ScrumMaster
- Play a critical role in driving new features and quality to ensure the robustness of products and technology services
- Creation of project plans, budgets, and regular reporting, including time, cost, and resource management in line with the customer and company’s requirements
- Ensure project progress is monitored, risks identified, and appropriate mitigation against non-delivery is invoked, including proper governance escalations
- Lead customer interactions from hand-over to commissioning and ensure customer satisfaction in the delivery phase and beyond
- Issue resolution with any third party
- Manage and support testing function to ensure all products are built to a high level of quality
- Create project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Experience:
- 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 of them in leading a project
- management capability
- An understanding of digital software platforms
- Experience in project management approaches, principles, and methods, such as Agile
Skills:
- Engineering background or qualification
- A professional qualification in project management, such as APM (PMQ) or another recognised qualification (e.g., Prince2 or PMP)
