Westfield School is a primary-agedspecial school for children with Communication and Interaction needs within themoderate learning difficulty (MLD) and mild learning disability range. Mostpupils have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), often alongsideadditional needs such as speech, language and communication difficulties,sensory processing differences, ADHD, anxiety, dyspraxia, or global developmentaldelay.
Many of our pupils join us afterfinding mainstream school environments overwhelming and challenging. AtWestfield School, we provide a calm, structured and nurturing environment wherechildren feel safe, understood and able to succeed. Visitors frequently commenton the positive atmosphere of the school, where strong relationships,personalised support and a focus on wellbeing underpin everything we do.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers andother professionals to provide tailored support for pupils, both in and out ofthe classroom. You will help deliver learning activities and interventions,promote independence and wellbeing, support positive behaviour, and contributeto a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
