We are currently seeking a Domestic Assistant, on a 12 month temporary contract, working 16.5hrs per week at Hollies Care Home, Pontypridd.
Typical shift pattern: 3 days per week 8am - 2pm.
- Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the home according to our cleaning schedule.
- Supporting a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
- Assisting the Head Housekeeper in identifying any needed repairs or maintenance in the home.
- Following infection control policies and completing cleaning documentation in line with company policies.
- Engaging with residents respectfully and comfortably, creating a positive atmosphere in line with their lifestyle preferences.
- Performing deep‑cleaning duties as required, ensuring thorough attention to detail and adherence to our care standards.
- Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Complying with all health and safety regulations, including attending required training.
- Maintaining a safe environment by ensuring all equipment and chemicals are handled responsibly and safely.
- Completing necessary risk assessments for chemical use and adhering to data sheet instructions.
- Following manual handling protocols for any heavy lifting required in the role.
