The predicted salary is between 22950 - 28050 £ per year.
To oversee and maintain the care of all residents within the unit and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the unit.
To delegate tasks and monitor all junior staff activity to ensure the unit is always adequately staffed.

- Main Responsibilities
- Care
- Take responsibility for resident care and ensure that all elements of residents’ care are carried out daily.
- Report any ill health amongst residents and request GP / professional visits where necessary.
- Ensure collection of any specimens that must be sent to the surgery / hospital.
- Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the company’s policies and procedures and NMC guidelines.
- Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with residents' personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with residents.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident within the care home has an individualised care plan.
- Review resident care plans monthly, or more frequently when required, in line with company policies and procedures and NMC guidelines.
- Communication
- Obtain and provide a comprehensive report from the Person in Charge.
- Advise the Home Manager of any incident / accident and the status of any resident whose care or health is causing concern.
- Inform the kitchen of any special dietary needs.
- Supervise the serving of meals, ensuring that the special dietary needs of individual residents are met.
- Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in staff and resident meetings as required.
- Human Resources
- Interview new staff members with line management when required, in line with the company’s recruitment policy.
- Marketing
- Ensure the care home is attractively presented and odour free at all times, in line with the company’s attention to detail philosophy.
- Deal with potential residents as requested.
- Training & Development
- Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, providing help and guidance where appropriate.
- Attend mandatory training days / courses, on or off site, as required.
- Health & Safety
- Understand and ensure the implementation of the care home's Health & Safety policy, and emergency and fire procedures.
- Report any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment, or potential hazards to the Home Manager or maintenance operative.
