Our client is one of the world’s leading FMCG businesses within its sector, supplying Retail, Foodservice and Export customers with a mixture of own‑label and branded products. Due to an internal promotion, we are now seeking an exciting, driven and motivated senior Commercial candidate who can help drive the business further forward in an environment that truly rewards delivery and success.

The Role

  • Full accountability for developing the strategic plan for your account, managing a team of managers and executives.
  • Develop strategy on how to build the business with key customers and manage the customer strategy and relationship.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the annual JBPs and ensure excellence in their execution.
  • Together with the Sales Director develop trade terms by customer that lead to maximum volume, profit, customer satisfaction and product availability at appropriate cost.
  • Monthly review of sales results and implement appropriate actions to deliver targets.
  • Provide challenge within the Category Development Team from a customer perspective.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve excellent customer relationships and business results.

About you

  • Proven P&L management, budget delivery and growth momentum.
  • Chilled category experience is essential for the role as well as private‑label product knowledge.
  • Strategic thinker with financial and commercial acumen along with the hunger and desire to drive the business to the next level.
  • Strong negotiator who has built up a level of resilience and tenacity along with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to build effective professional relationships in order to create sustainable joint business plans that deliver.
  • Currently working at a Senior Sales/NAC level.
  • Additional functional experience in either Marketing, Supply Chain or Operations is desirable.
