We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our Pre school team between the hours of 8-6pm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities, promoting their curious minds and achieving their full potential. The Early Years Practitioner will work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure that each child's individual needs are met while promoting a love for learning.

Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Manage behaviour by applying positive discipline techniques and encouraging cooperation among children.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Drive initiatives that promote the well-being of children while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of early years education.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential.
  • A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage group dynamics effectively.
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with children and families.
  • Experience in nursery settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A passion for working with young children and fostering their development through play-based learning.
