The Role

As an Area Sales Manager for the South of England, you will be responsible for driving sales performance and brand presence across your territory, building strong relationships with independent and specialist retail partners. You’ll act as a key ambassador for Silver Cross, ensuring our products are represented to the highest standard in-store while supporting retailers to maximise sales opportunities. Based remotely, this is a field-based role where you’ll spend the majority of your time visiting customers, delivering training, analysing performance, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Reporting to the UK Independent Sales Manager, you’ll work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Services, Finance, and Merchandising to ensure our retail partners receive a seamless and high-quality experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing relationships with existing retail partners to drive sales growth
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities within your territory
  • Delivering product training and ongoing support to retail teams
  • Ensuring consistent brand representation and high standards of merchandising in-store
  • Analysing sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
  • Maximising sales potential, influencing orders and forecasts, and delivering growth across all Silver Cross categories and products
  • Planning and executing customer visits to maximise commercial impact
  • Supporting product launches and promotional activity within your region, including attending baby shows
  • Providing regular feedback to internal stakeholders on customer insight, competitor activity and market trends

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a commercially focused and relationship-driven individual who is passionate about delivering results and building strong partnerships. You’ll be confident working autonomously in a field-based role, while staying closely connected to the wider team.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience in a field-based sales role, ideally within retail or consumer goods
  • Experience selling products, ideally luxury or premium brands, to independent retailers and department stores, with the ability to represent and grow a brand
  • Experience managing and developing independent or specialist retail accounts
  • Strong track record of delivering against sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Experience identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Ability to build credible, long-term relationships with customers at all levels
  • Experience delivering engaging product training to retail teams
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret sales data and act on insights
  • Experience planning and managing your own territory effectively
  • Understanding of visual merchandising principles and in-store execution
  • Ability to identify market trends and competitor activity and respond accordingly
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Confident working independently in a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within your region
