We’re a small but growing care company with big values and we’re on the lookout for warm, compassionate folks to join our close knit team of Live In Care Professionals.If you\'re passionate about helping older adults remain independent in their own home and don’t mind the odd bit of chat over tea then we would love to hear from you.As a Live In Care Professional, you will be more than just a carer, you will be a trusted companion, a steady presence, and sometimes, the one who knows exactly how they like their toast. You will live in the client’s home, offering essential non medical support that allows them to live life with dignity, comfort, and a good dose of craic.
Responsibilities
- Living alongside the client and providing one-to-one care.
- Representing Silver Cloud Care NI with warmth, empathy, and a sense of humour.
- Supporting daily routines while respecting the client’s space, values, and favourite TV shows. Maybe helping them choose the flowers from the garden.
- Keeping daily notes and letting us know if something’s not quite right.
- Communicating openly with your manager and our friendly office team, we are always just a phone call away.
- Encouraging hobbies, crafts, or whatever brings them joy.
- Accompanying clients to appointments or wee social outings.
- Gentle reminders for meds, meals, or their favourite radio programme.
- Running errands or picking up prescriptions (and possibly a bun or two).
- Planning, prepping, and cleaning up after tasty, nutritious meals.
- Assisting with washing, dressing, and feeling fresh for the day.
- Prompting medications with care and consistency.
- Supporting with toileting and continence care respectfully.
- Helping with hydration, meals, and general wellbeing.
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid communication and people skills.
- Confidence in preparing healthy meals.
- At least 1 year of experience in a care setting.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Availability for a week-on/week-off rota to keep life balanced.
- Willingness to adapt to different households and family dynamics.
