We are currently looking for Support Workers who can provides person-centered care and practical support to individuals who may be elderly, disabled, or have physical or mental health needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting individuals with personal care, daily living activities, and mobility.
Administering or supporting medication in line with care plans and policies.
Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
Monitoring and reporting changes in physical or mental health.
Supporting individuals with appointments, activities, and community involvement.
Maintaining accurate care records and following care plans.
Safeguarding individuals from abuse, neglect, and harm.
Working closely with families, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintaining confidentiality and following health, safety, and infection-control procedures.
Qualifications
- Should be Compassion, empathy, and patience
- Excellent communication and active listening
- Ability to support individuals with personal care and daily activities
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Understanding of safeguarding and duty of care
- Knowledge of confidentiality and respecting dignity
- Ability to identify and respond to changes in a person's health or wellbeing
- Good observation and reporting skills
- Basic record-keeping and documentation skills
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly
- Time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and person-centered care
- Reliability, flexibility, and professionalism
- Ability to follow care plans, policies, and health and safety procedures
