We are partnering with an Energy Data provider seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Analyst to join its internal IT & Security team during a pivotal period of change. This role is more than responding to alerts. You will play a key part in shaping, implementing and embedding security policies, standards and controls, helping to mature the organisations security posture across a Microsoft-centric environment. Extensive Microsoft Purview experience is essential.
The Role
- Owning and running vulnerability and patch management processes
- Investigating and responding to security incidents
- Designing, implementing and maintaining security policies, standards and procedures
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and driving remediation activity
- Partnering with IT and business teams to ensure secure-by-design configurations
- Supporting audits, risk assessments and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST)
- Acting as a key escalation point for security investigations
- Maximising the effectiveness of Microsoft Defender, Intune and Purview
- Promoting cyber security awareness and best practice across the organisation
Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrable experience writing, implementing and embedding security policies and standards
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including data governance and compliance
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles and modern threat landscapes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar cyber security role
Desirable:
- Security certifications (Security+, CySA+, SC-200, SSCP)
