About the Role
As a Residential Care Worker, you will be a positive role model and source of support for young people in our care. Every day is different, and you'll have the chance to make a genuine impact by helping children and young people feel safe, valued, and supported.
You will:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and supportive home environment
- Build trusting and positive relationships with young people
- Support young people with daily activities, routines, and goals
- Encourage confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Work as part of a team to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes
- Keep clear and accurate records to support their care and development
What We're Looking For
Prior experience in residential childcare is great, but you don't need it to be successful in this role. We're looking for people who are:
- Compassionate and patient
- Good listeners and communicators
- Positive, resilient, and dependable
- Passionate about supporting children and young people
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or want to work towards)
What We Offer
Hours: 40 hours per week (including sleep-ins, weekends, and shifts)
Pay: £13.22 per hour + £70.50 per sleep-in
