A transport manager CPC qualification is preferable, though not essential for the candidate with the right attributes.

Your Role:
- Planning and allocation of nationwide automotive, plant and agricultural machinery deliveries.
- Ensuring that the operation complies with all regulatory legislation and best practices.
- Ensuring consistently reliable driver behaviour concerning safety, legality, efficiency and profitability.
- Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce, including welfare and pastoral matters.
- Attending Customer conference calls and meetings where required.
- Dynamic evaluation of operational decisions likely to affect group performance and Customer experience.
- Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions.
- Balancing own fleet use and sub-contraction.
- Minimising fleet empty running.
