Transport Planner

Transport Planner – 2 Years Experience Required – Aintree- Permanent Role

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Tuesday to Saturday, 0800am/1000am – 1700pm/1900pm

Silver Arrow require a Transport Planner to work for a General Haulage Transport Company based in the Aintree area.

Your Role:

• Plan efficient and cost-effective routes considering factors like traffic, distances, and vehicle capacity.
• Must have previous experience of day-to-day operations planning routes/drivers.
• Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
• Communicate with drivers, providing route instructions, addressing issues, and ensuring timely and safe transportation.
• Seeking ways to minimise transportation costs by optimising routes and load utilisation.
• Liaise with internal teams and external customers to provide accurate updates on delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.
• Completing all details and planning in system.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in a general haulage transport planning role (2+ years).
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Excellent customer service standards.
• Good knowledge of driving hours /breaks required.
• Be able to adapt to change within a busy working transport office & prioritise workloads.
• Ability to commute to Liverpool
