Salary: up to £30,000pa dependant on experience.

SHIFT – 3 days per week, 0830 – 1700.

Silver Arrow require an experienced Transport Manager to work for a heavy haulage transport company based in the Widnes area on a part time basis (3 days per week).

Your Role:

* Ensure all transport operations comply with UK laws, especially those related to the Operator’s Licence.
* Maintain vehicle records, driver hours, and tachograph data in line with DVSA regulations.
* Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and scheduling of the company’s fleet and transport vehicles.
* Monitor driver performance, hours, and safety standards.
* Coordinate logistics for efficient and timely transport of equipment or goods.
* Maintain records and liaise with regulatory bodies like the DVSA.

What we need from you:

* Previous experience in transport or logistics management. Preferably in heavy haulage.
* Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
* O Licence Holder – legally required to manage an Operator’s Licence.
* Excellent organisational and logistical planning abilities.
* Good communication and leadership skills. Familiarity with fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and driver supervision.
* Experience dealing with DVSA audits and maintaining compliance with O Licence conditions.
* Proficiency in record-keeping and fleet management systems.
